Storage Condition

2-8°C; Powder state should be sealed, dry and kept away from light at normal storage temperature; solutions and aqueous products should be packaged in glass and high-density polyethylene or polypropylene bottles in a cool, dry place, avoiding contact with cork or cork pads.
Chemical StabilityAt normal storage temperatures, chlorhexidine and its salts are stable in the powdered state; however, in aqueous solutions, the salts of chlorhexidine can be hydrolyzed to form 4-chloroaniline and the rate of hydrolysis increases markedly above 100°C and increases with increasing or decreasing pH (below pH 5.6).
